The World Music Registry

THE WORLD MUSIC REGISTRY is a networking site like MySpace, Facebook, and Bebo, with the crucial difference that The Registry is actually built around music (rather than the music being an add-on).

There are a couple of things here that you don't get on the other sites (and there's a lot more to come!):

 1) The Hot Window (to the right there). This is where you put the news you want to reach your fans. What you write here will appear in the Hot Window of everybody who has declared him/herself your Registered Fan...immediately! Your fans will know when, where, and what time you are playing, along with anything else you want to share.

2) The Fan List. This is where both Registered Fans and Registered Artists declare themselves fans of musicians. It's a "friends list" turned on its head (you pick them, they don't ask to be allowed on your list), allowing one to journey through a network of musical recommendations to discover new artists and music.

The Registry provides a personal MediaNews Page to anybody who wants one...both musicians and fans. It's like having your own online newspaper, or webpage (it IS a webpage!).

And the "Artist" section is open to all involved in the musical arts including venues, labels, producers, etc.
